Mark asks…

How much should I charge for a 3.5 oz jar of homemade facial scrub?

I started making homemade facial scrub as an alternative to buying Christmas gifts this year and it turns out that the few samples I gave to friends were a hit. They are asking to purchase the jars so they can give away as gifts and stocking stuffers. What should I charge? I have a 6 month old daughter that eats Gerber Baby Food stage 2. I saved the jars, cleaned them up, removed the label, spray painted the lids red, green or gold, and tied a festive bow around them. I don’t know what to charge. It doesn’t cost me much to make a large batch… maybe 20-30 bucks. Thanks for your opinion.

admin answers:

Really it matters how much time and effort you put into it. I mean you could always add up how much making one is (how much a bow is etc.). I belive though that they should be 15 dollars each, because you probably spend a lot of time and effort with those…but if they are your friends I would price it down to 10 dollars maybe.

Elizabeth asks…

what would my mom like for Christmas ?

Hi. I’ve gotten my mom some great stuff but i still want to get her something she’ll never suspect because everything i have so far she picked out i know that as my mom she thinks she should be the one to surprise me but i wanted something that would make her remember this Christmas as a great one! (but please none of that homemade crap I’m 15 and it would be to embarrassing for her to go showing it around to everybody at her work and then they would have to pretend to like it and…UGH! NO THANK YOU) so moms, kids, dads? any ideas that would knock her dead? (kidding of course)
if it helps she likes good coffee, not to strong, art, the NY Jets, and shes a teacher so anything not to expensive that i could get to jazz it up and make it sparkle (besides cleaning it LOL)
OH! and some stocking stuffers! but she doesn’t want candy (shes afraid she’ll get fat LOL)
any ideas would be a big help! thanks

How much money are you willing to spend?

You could get her NY Jets merchandise – Like a thermal cup to bring her coffee to work in. As well as a gift card for coffee.

For stocking stuffers, you can go to the local drug store like Rite Aid or CVS and buy a bunch of odds and ends there.

You could be funny and buy her some joke presents too! If you have that kind of relationship with her, or a funny book.
